From September 20 to 22, the 2024 Annual Conference on the History of Ancient World was held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. The theme of the conference was “Population, Wars and Trade in the Ancient World”. This conference was organized by the Chinese Committee of Ancient and Medieval History of the World and hosted by the School of History of Anhui Normal University. Participating scholars came from many institutions in China, including the Institute of World History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Publishing Group, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Nankai University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Lanzhou University, Sichuan University, Beijing Normal University, Northeast Normal University, East China Normal University, Central China Normal University, Southwest University and Anhui Normal University, etc..
